I have shared my experience with people from across the UK over the years.
Including presentations at Birmingham City University, Brighton Institute of Modern Music, Newham College (London), the University of Wolverhampton, King Edwards Grammar School, Access to Music Birmingham Kidderminster College and The Ikon Gallery Birmingham.
Called on to cover a range of topics from “Successful Artist Launches” to “TwoTone in a socio historical context” and lots in between. I love sharing my experience with young and older people and stay in touch with many students who have benefited from my advice.
I’ve also been interviewed by or guested on BBC R4, Capital Radio, BBC Radio WM, Central News and oddly, quite recently The Australian Broadcasting Corporation which you can hear via the link.
Having recently compiled the first ever factual list of artists from Birmingham who have had top 40 records, which only I could have done as I have been around so long, I have been encouraged by many colleagues to share my anecdotes from 40 years of Birmingham Musical Life with a wider audience.
Any group wishing for practical music industry advice or an informative and entertaining guide through Birmingham’s pop music history is invited to contact to discuss possibilities.
